Prior to joining Haddad & Sherwin LLP in 2019, Ivania worked as a felonies trial paralegal for the San Francisco Public Defender’s Office for 8 years, providing her with the invaluable opportunity of representing indigent clients and witnessing systematic injustices first-hand. While there, she was certified by the California Bar to conduct preliminary hearings on behalf of clients, and participated in over 30 felony trials and numerous hearings, including sitting at counsel’s table during multiple high-profile trials from inception through completion of jury verdicts. Ivania previously worked for law firms specializing in personal injury, Workers’ Compensation, and complex litigation.

Ivania grew up in the Bay Area, and loves the diversity found within the Bay. During her free time, Ivania enjoys traveling the world (visiting all continents is on her bucket list with only 2 more to go), cooking and trying new foods, reading thrillers and mysteries, and visiting different wine countries. When not seeking adventures, she focuses time around family, friends and her dog, Brandy.
